Live well in Belgravia!

Surrounded by the North Saskatchewan River valley on its western boundary and University Avenue on its northern boundary, the community of Belgravia is often described as a peninsula within the sea of the city of Edmonton.

With only four roadway entrances, Belgravia has a sense of seclusion and isolation; yet the neighbourhood benefits from rapid access to Groat Road (to the Yellowhead and Short West/Downtown), Belgravia Road (to the Whitemud, Terwillegar, and Anthony Henday), and Calgary Trail (to all points South), and of couse the 109 St/Whyte Ave corridors.  Direct LRT access is available at the McKernan/Belgravia LRT Station, and the community is served by numerous bus routes along 114 St and University Avenue, as well as being the terminus for the dedicated #327 bus route.

This walkable community also boasts numerous locally owned services such as a coffee shop, pharmacy, bookstore, and hair salon within walking distance. Tree-lined boulevards, wide-open park and green spaces, a high-achievment primary school, and residents who take pride in maintaining Belgravia as "one of the best places to live in Edmonton" are just some of the reasons that enable us to live well in Belgravia.

I had a call from a man in the city today to warn the community that they will start next week to ticket cars without parking permits that are parked on streets with restricted parking hours.  I'd also like to direct people to this address:

http://www.edmonton.ca/bylaws_licences/licences_permits/residential-parking-permits.aspx

It's the website where one can read about the parking program and download permit applications.
