Join us for Friends and Family Day on Monday 17th February 2020, 2-8pm for a fun-filled afternoon with activities for all ages!
Swing Dancing 3 – 4pm – Enjoy a swing dancing taster session with Hit That Jive Productions, an Edmonton based non-profit that focuses on North American swing dance styles from the 1920s through 1950s. We’ll start with some beginner lessons and practice. Come by on your own or with a partner. The hour will end with a special performance by several members of Hit That Jive!
Jiggs’ Dinner & Potluck Dessert 5 – 8pm – Enjoy a Jiggs’ dinner* prepared by Nait trained chef, Kaitlyn White-Keyes. Complimentary for BCL members, $5 for non-members.
To help us prepare for this meal, we need your RSVP to volunteer@belgraviaedmonton.ca by February 14.
Also, bring your favourite beverage and a dessert that can be shared with 3-4 others.
Skating/Hockey, Giant Skiis & Tobogganing 2 – 4:30pm – Enjoy outdoor activities such as a cross country ski race on Birkebeiner Giant Skiis (there will be prizes!) or join a pickup hockey game on our rink or toboggan down Mt. Belgravia!
Music & Refreshments 4:30 – 7:30pm – Enjoy music and the ambience of the event whilst enjoying popcorn, coffee & tea.
Indoor Activities 2 – 4:30pm – “Where in the World” Interactive Mapping, children’s activities & board games
* A Jiggs’ Dinner – also known as “boiled” or “Sunday” dinner – is a traditional meal (from Atlantic Canada) that consists of chicken, salt beef, turnip, cabbage, potato, carrot, stuffing, pease pudding & gravy.
