Family Day 2023 at the Arts Park

Join the Belgravia Community League family this Monday, February 20 in and around the BCL Hall – for Family Day activities with old and new friends.

  • Date & Time: Monday, February 20 2023, 1 to 4 pm
  • Where: Belgravia Community League Hall
  • Admission: Free


  • Enter the BCL Hall from the east entrance (facing the Arts Park)


  • Join in a game of broomball on the rink – from 1:30 pm
  • Snow-building fun – theme: One Castle
  • Arts Park treasure hunt – clues to be handed out at the hall
  • Cookies, hot chocolate & marshmallows – bring your own mug & marshmallow roasting stick
  • Warm up by the fire pit!


Craft activities for kids – decorate wooden medallions awarded at the end of the Treasure Hunt

Table with crafts for sale (by donation) by young Belgravian makers – Four young Belgravian makers will be selling their crafts – in exchange for donations to the Bissell Centre. Look for fairy shoes, bracelets and hearts, scrunchies, bookmarks and adorable embroidered little mice to take home. You’ll find their table in the upper hall during the Family Day activities. The talented foursome will also be participating in the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser walk on February 25th. To support the walk, donate here.

Musical performance by Marty Pawlina  – Marty Pawlina is a Canadian songwriter, recording artist, and storyteller. This Family Day, he is looking forward to sharing his family’s favourite songs with his friends and neighbours in Belgravia! This special performance will feature family-friendly folk tunes including sing-alongs like Baby Beluga and Down By the Bay, to original songs written by Marty and friends. Low key, laid back with lots of laughs it’s a performance you won’t want to miss.
