Fee: you’ll need a BCL membership if you plan to dispose of waste

Fall is a good time to clean up and the BCL hopes to make this coming Saturday a convenient day for you to clean out all those things you no longer need. Take advantage of the:

• SWAP component where you can drop off and/or take something ‘new to you’ back home – furniture, art, kitchenware, sporting goods, clothes, books. Whatever is left from these items at the end of the day will go to FIND, Goodwill, The Mustard Seed and other accepting organizations.
• Big Bins for waste materials that don’t fit in your City black garbage bin like old metal garbage cans no longer accepted by the City Garbage Collection service. We can’t take hazardous household wastes that should go to an ECO station, large appliances, mattresses, automobile tires that require additional disposal costs.

This event is one of the benefits of your BCL membership. If you haven’t yet had a chance to renew, you can do so online beforehand, or at the Clean Up Registration Table at the event.
