Are you staying in Belgravia this Family Day weekend? Join us at the rink and lower BCL Hall for our Inaugural BCL Broom Ball* Tournament & Pizza Party finishing up with a table of Potluck Desserts.
When: Monday, February 17, 2025 (3:30 pm – 7 pm)
Where: Lower BCL Hall and skating rink
Free Admission (2024-25 BCL Memberships will be available if you haven’t had the chance to renew yet)
The afternoon’s activities include:
- 3:30:Fire pit marshmallows to roast & hot chocolate
- 3:30: Broom ball tournament starts in the rink, with 15-minute games (depending on number of teams and people)
- 4:30 pm: Broom Ball Champions Award
- 4:30–7 pm: pizza (from Sepp’s) & potluck desserts (bring your family favourite) in the lower hall plus a 1000 piece community puzzle to put together.
- 7 pm: Clean up
* A non-contact stick & ball game believed to have been developed in Canada by First Nations people. Played on ice or snow in footwear with rubber soles to help grip the ice. Bring a bike/hockey helmet if you like. All broom ball equipment provided.
