What’s in Bloom 2010, in Belgravia’s native plant garden

The native plant garden is located along 115th St., immediately south of the main entryway at the intersections of 74th Ave. and 115th St..

The plants are tended by volunteers on a flexible schedule that will be kept updated here. You’re welcome to drop by.

Throughout the summer of 2010, the unique bloom times of our plants as well as their pictures will be posted here as they open.

If you wish a plant for yourself, try Arch Greenhouses, or, start one from seed from the Bedrock Seed Bank. You can find the Bedrock Seed Bank at the Old Strathcona farmers’ market on Saturdays.

A good local book to guide you along the way is from Cherry Dodd and the Edmonton Naturalization Group called, Go Wild! With Easy to Grow Prairie Wildflowers and Grasses. It is available in Edmonton at Earth’s General Store and Greenwoods’ Bookshoppe Ltd.
