Open House – Amendment to Land Use Plans for South Campus (Updated)

The University of Alberta will be holding a public information open house regarding a progress update on the amendment of land use plans (Long Range Development Plan) for South Campus.  This open house will be held on:

Thursday, March 14, 2013
5:30 – 9:00 p.m.
McKernan School, 11330 – 76 Avenue

A presentation and question and answer session will take place at 7 p.m.

All Belgravia residents are encouraged to attend as the development of South Campus has had and will continue to have considerable impact on our neighbourhood.  Your comments, questions and concerns are very important feedback to the University prior to the submission of the amended LRDP to the government.

The top three continuing concerns are:
1. Transportation/traffic/parking;
2. Green space—more of it
3. Development of the WEST 240.

If you are unable to attend, materials presented at the meeting will be posted here on March 15, 2013.  Comments from the public regarding this project will be accepted until April 4, 2013.

If you have any questions, please contact Emily Ball at 780-492-4345 or by email at emily.ball@ualberta.ca

Please share this with your fellow neighbours, and with anyone in the communities affected by the future development of the South Campus.
