Landscaping underway at new hall …

The recent rains slowed things down a little at the hall construction site but if you haven’t walked by lately, the landscaping and site restoration has begun. Yesterday five Gladiator Crab trees donated by MD Lawn Care and Landscaping were planted. These along with more than 70 hardy, drought tolerant shrubs will soon fill the retaining walls built around the sloped walkways leading to the upper and lower levels of the hall. And, the inspections required for the Occupancy Permit are underway. All of this is a little amazing considering the old hall was still standing this time last year. A lot has happened since then thanks to the incredible efforts of the Hall Renewal Committee and its Chair, Kevin Taft, our design team (new studio architecture inc) and building company (Pemco). There will be lots to cheer about at the Grand Hall Opening, 2015-26 AGM and Community Celebration on September 17. See you there!
