Belgravia Square Update September 18th 2018

Wet weather conditions have delayed completion of the pile driving. The site needs to dry out before it can continue. Water will be pumped from the site this week. There are about four days of pile driving left to do.

The developer will need to bring in heavy vehicles carrying steel and concrete while road construction is underway on 76 Ave and on 115 St. This will cause additional congestion on these roads and at the entry/exit points of the neighbourhood. The developer will have flag persons to help manage traffic for large vehicles.

City forestry staff worked with the developer to arrange for an arborist company to trim several limbs from the elm trees that were in the way of the pile driver. These limbs were scheduled for eventual removal because they would have impinged on the building itself. A few limbs remain to be pruned at a later date.
